Frequently asked questions
How do I log a job?+
Use the job wizard: enter the registration, confirm the vehicle details MotorFile fills in, add the mileage, itemise the work, attach evidence photos and submit. In the mobile app you can scan the number plate with the camera instead of typing it.
How do I send a customer an invoice?+
Open the job and generate the invoice PDF. It is an A4 document with your garage branding, the itemised work, VAT and a MotorFile history link in the footer.
How do service stickers work?+
Each job can produce a print-ready 60 x 35mm service sticker as a PDF, in one of three styles, with your garage name, a QR code and the next service date and mileage.
What does MotorFile do with my jobs?+
Completed jobs are recorded as service records on MotorFile, attributed to your garage, and are visible on the vehicle's history at mymotorfile.com.
How do I delete my account?+
In the mobile app open Profile and choose Delete account. You can also start it from bsaph.com/delete-account, or email [email protected]. That page explains what is deleted, what is kept where the law requires it, and the timings.
